Anxiety can be described as the state of having too much energy circulating in the mind. This can feel like having thoughts running on a continuous loop.
It’s basically energy that doesn’t have a clear and aligned direction to follow.
Now, there is a constant flow of energy moving through us and we are responsible for how we use and direct it.
Consider water, for example. When active and dynamic, water can be extraordinarily powerful – it can carve rocks and create canyons and valleys. But when it’s stagnant it can become dank and moldy, a breeding ground for bacteria and mosquitos.
Our energy behaves in much the same way.
When we are disconnected from ourselves and we don’t have clarity of direction or purpose, it’s very easy for our energy to stagnate in our mind. If left unattended this still, dark pool can begin to spawn unwelcome patterns of thought and behavior.
This is why having access to your truth and having clarity on your desires is so important because this is what gives direction to your energy and allows it to flow freely and naturally.
When you are aligned with what’s present, then you can nurture this energy and direct it consciously in a chosen direction.
I often recommend people integrate a conscious practice with their daily routine that helps to calm the mind and remain grounded and present in the body.
When you are in a state of calm and clarity, it becomes possible to look at these loops and cycles of thoughts with an unclouded heart to determine what is true.
From there, you can direct your energy in service to what you truly wish to create in your life.
