As a Life Coach, I have been supporting people through major transformations. No matter what
the circumstances are, certain elements are the same for everyone.
I wanted to share three aspects of transformation that can profoundly support you.
1- We can only transform what we love
It is certainly challenging to love what we desire to change in ourselves. Often, we would like it
to change, to go away, to stop. But when we can see our challenge for what it is and find an
acceptance, we open a door.
When we can deal with our challenge neutrally, in an accepted way, we have so much
more leverage for transformation. When we shame it, judge it, denigrate it, it’s like we are
closed. We need love and approval to change any part of us.
2- Use your challenges to notice the deeper patterns
I always support my clients to observe the root of their experience. The reason is that what you
see at the surface is often not the full picture. The more you observe yourself deeply, the better
you get at transformation.
For example, maybe there is a stressful situation at work. You can ask yourself ‘’What is at the
bottom of this’’? Is it a desire to please, a fear of failure, boundaries that are not set, or a need for your body to rest?
When we can touch what is deeper, at the bottom of it all, then we can address that.
3- Find your power through it
Through any challenge, a great question to ask yourself is:‘’ How is this for me?’’ What is this
experience trying to teach me?
As you inquire, you move from the feeling that you are a victim of your situation to finding
your power inside of it. Sometimes, situations teach us to set boundaries, transform a
pattern, or heal a wound.
Every experience is different, every teaching is different. You want to make sure to find the
nugget of growth so you can create a different experience in the future.
My work as a Life Coach is to support you through this process of transformation. Bringing
acceptance, noticing patterns, and helping you find your power through it all.
